    L322 Rumble at speed

Hi Dazzer200, Hope the first leg of the week went without any nasty surprises. Re: “think its one of them.....drive and find outs what doyou reckon ?” I find most are like that because if it drives and stops it’s great to just enjoy the moment and eventually it gets loud enough you know exactly...

    Range Rover reliability

Apparently it has a powerful 375bhp V8 petrol engine......wait a minute, what about the rest of us being asked to give up a beautiful V8’s in favour of electric, what a nerve.

    Range Rover reliability

Sadly your hopes may be dashed. Range Rover Abio Sentinel £400k. The bodywork can withstand hits from 7.62mm high-velocity, armour-piercing rounds. The impressive car can also cope with 15kg of TNT explosive being detonated next to it. Never mind :( Tricky :)

    just got my 2nd L322

Great looking colour especially with the cream interior. Looks like a Kahn interior to me, probably installed when new and the exterior done later because Kahn only convert new or nearly new cars. Alternatively, put in from a donor car. Same goes for the 22” wheels, a Kahn style also. Enjoy your...

Love this...guess where I found it?

Absolutely on the money. Why have I wasted so much time looking for Sat Nav updates all these years when the solution has been literally there all along. If only she’d look up from her mobile occasionally. :p:confused:. Tricky :)

Suspension drops over 50mph to bump stops

Nice result  Just goes to show that sometimes you just have to carry on doing the normal stuff like driving our Range Rover’s to the MoT station and keeping out fingers crossed everything we’ve done will be enough to pass with “No Advisories”.:p:( Tricky :)

    Multiple issues, mechanic stumped

Regarding fault codes, can you tell us what they are or were? Also if cleared then cranked are you getting the same codes repeatedly or new ones each time. On the L322 I wouldn’t be so bold as to state that any fault code was not related to the main issue of not firing. My car was in a garage...

    Multiple issues, mechanic stumped

Seriously, you must get the water out and track the leak path in, because if you don’t you’ll be spending hundreds on someone else doing it. All the comments on damp electrical connections and green corroded terminals are based on real life Range Rover ownership not stab in the dark ideas. I...

Suspension drops over 50mph to bump stops

Hi just to add that if you lock the suspension height it will automatically raise the car or disable the lock once you get moving, can’t remember speed but it’s only around 10 mph from memory. Bell pings like mad to let you know you’re a muppet :p. If you haven’t changed anything on the car...

    L322 ignition key problems

I too saw this solution on another forum at the time but was nervous about drilling into a component with a very hefty replacement cost if I got it wrong. I believe this to be a good solution in theory if you aren’t the one paying if it doesn’t go well (a stray piece of swarf). I can report that...

    L322 ignition key problems

Yes that’s part of the problem as the electrics control the release of the key to rotate in the barrel. I had exactly the same symptom as well as all the dash lights and non-starting. The fault codes would change every time they were reset, nothing made sense even to LR trained technicians with...

    How accurate or not..

I’m running petrol through a 4.2 at sub 20mph for the most part. I can get a reading of 26mpg down hill and wind behind but I have to change the screen or look away as soon as the road levels off . Tricky :)

    How accurate or not..

I’d be happy with 22mpg if you don’t want it, mine won’t go higher than 14 mpg on a good day:( Tricky :)

    L322 ignition key problems

Hello folks, I think this thread of mine will help shed some light on the subject. Half way through you’ll find it starts again and then again for Goldrover. https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/newby-needs-help-my-2005-4-2-supercharged-will-not-start.312101/ Essentially, bad earth (engine...

    L322 It finally happened

Respect for a job well done and documented, surely an inspiration to those who may need to do the same, especially as finding a new one had it’s issues last time I checked. Tricky :)

P38A Mechanics, FIP and timing chain investigation

Sorry you’ve not got sorted it’s the sad reality with older cars. This may be the job that is not only worth doing yourself but will have to be done yourself. I agree you should read it through and work out exactly what you need because you’ll certainly get any hel you need here. Good luck...

    Dash electrical problem

I can confirm that my previous 2005 L322 suffered a Christmas Tree of lights on the dash when the Engine to Chassis Earth Strap connections corroded, well worth taking off and checking, at that age it’s almost bang on time. Tricky :)

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Personally I think I’d do the air con first, it’s less complicated. Tricky ;)
