Is the fuel comp on the old td6.... mine says 22 to a gal no matter how a drive  it never moves. I've reset or many times but it's a waste of time. Other than doing a brim to brim there's no way of knowing.

What's the problem with doing a 'brim to brim' ?
The old methods are the best, instead of relying on all this digital crap.
nb. I brim both the Classic & our daily drive every time they need fuel. If there's another imaginary fuel 'shortage' (like last October) we have enough petrol until the panic is over

I follow your example and brim the cars every fill and never go below half full except on a long run. With diesel, keeping the tank full reduces condensation in the tank and so reduces the problem of bacterial growth.
My P38 has averaged 24mpg on brim to brim checks over the last 12 years.:D
