    P38A Disco wheels and tyres

Ah I see. I always thought the second figure was the wall height in mm, did not realise that it was a percentage of tyre width.

    P38A Disco wheels and tyres

@wammers, I need your advice here as I cannot see how 265/70/R16 can cause an underspeed reading when 235/70/R16 are one of the sizes specified in Rave, I assume the wheels pictured are J7 as the wall size is 70 which is the only size wall for the J7 wheel. Cannot see how a wider tyre would...

    P38A Jubilee clips or....

I thought you needed as special tool to get these tight. I think there are a couple on the fuel filler system. I dumped whatever was there in favour of jubilee clips as I couldn't get them to tightened.

    P38A Jubilee clips or....

I bought one of those spring clip depressors off the net for about £7. No more damaged fingers!

P38A Car Pulling to the left

My Diesel is constantly pulling to the left to the point where a long journey is almost uncomfortable. In the 3+ years I have had it, it has always pulled to the kerb and worn away the outside of the N/S tyre. Last year I had the drag link replaced and have had the wheel alignment checked on a...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I wish I was up to be able to help. I could have towed you home if you had a bar/rope. I would really lay it on thick with the AA about how you missed work etc. Tell them you are leaving if they do not make a considerable gesture for the utterly unacceptable service you received. Middle of...

P38A Cleaning the exhaust system? 2.5 Diesel

If you have 80+ notes spare look at an engine de-coke service, they come to your door and use some form of micro particle fuel to flush the system. It cleans the combustion chambers and exhaust plus helps to regain a few horses too.

How to drain coolant - 2002 RR P38

Does the center of the plastic hex nut have a groove in it like the pic? Also is the Hex nut in the center of the rad as per the pic in the link. If it is, then that is the drain plug? Also get a copy of RAVE, search this forum, it will show you what you need to know. This PIC shows you...

P38A Heater Feed hose, I didn't know it existed

It was a blister burst just after cylinder head outlet. Which hose are you referring to?

P38A Heater Feed hose, I didn't know it existed

I think its a metal pipe across back of engine which connects into a 3 way pipe which is on drivers side and the goes into the heater matrix.

P38A Heater Feed hose, I didn't know it existed

It was tight but a screwdriver acting as a pick worked getting it off. Had to remove inlet manifold to get at the clips. the one nearest the bulkhead was twisted so one of the tangs was also up against the bulkhead. I have the tool to compress these but a set of angled long nose pliers did the job.

P38A Heater Feed hose, I didn't know it existed

My Diesel blew a hose on Thursday night and needed recovering home. Lots of steam and a squeaky bum as I did not know that there was a hose at the back of the engine so every worst case scenario went through my head. Whilst it cooled down so did I and found the little U shaped hose had blown...

    Fuel price madness

Now I have sobered up , what I was trying to get across is that areas that have always charged top dollar are now cheaper than places where the price was quite reasonable. It really annoys me that my local garages are shafting me, I know market forces and what the market will bear etc. but it...

    Fuel price madness

Its all screwed up at the moment as far as diesel prices are concerned. . its currently £1.30 at a garage by Heathrow but 1.33 by Watford. Cannot remember when it was like this before as Heathrow always carried a premium and I was always loather to pay for diesel around the area.

P38A Looking to drain petrol tank.

Can't you remove the wheel arch liner and bypass the baffle by getting into the filler pipe at a junction lower down? Cannot remember exactly how it all fits together.

    RR Sentinel? Yes, please!

Have seen a few of these armored SUV's, however the the trim levels were no where near this one. The engineering in these things is pretty amazing as they look and behave like a standard vehicle. Yes they are going to be pretty thirsty due to the weight and probably have at least an extra...

Thanks Grrrrr and Wammers, so they can be removed by just gently levering away from the sides. Only wanted to remove them so I can clean out the intercooler but bloody block the nut holding it in place. Definitely having a senior moment as cannot see how they are removed.
