Jubilee clips for small hoses, but the band ones for larger diameters like the boots. I used good cable ties (2 to a cv) as temporary, they are okay but won’t last
This type is the best for CV boots..
No, pliers work well.I thought you needed as special tool to get these tight. I think there are a couple on the fuel filler system. I dumped whatever was there in favour of jubilee clips as I couldn't get them to tightened.

Not normal pliers, pincers like these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CT3212-9...716354&hash=item4d7493a51e:g:mrEAAOSwlzZbDow~I thought you needed as special tool to get these tight. As well as their familiar clamps, Mikalor also make "jubilee" clips. Far better than a standard clip IMHO and can be tightened to about 7NM without the screw thread slipping. I could not get a jubilee clip tight enough to keep a silicone intake hose clamped to the thin, recessed pipe on the turbo intake and it was too narrow for a Mikalor clamp. A Mikalor ASFA "jubilee" clip has been perfect. They even make them in titanium or in constant tension varieties.
