    Greenlaning nr Guildford?

Max, yeah the one at Boxall hill has had a load of drainage put in and is completely levelled. The end section is concreted. The one off Whitmore vale has a 12month TRO Public Notices I think we may have lost that lane. The TRO was 12 months and now been extended for another 12 months.

Yeah love that lane. I've never tried going up it mind. Did you notice they've completely levelled Boxalls Hill. It's smoother than the road it exits onto, concreted over. They removed that big tree trunk too.

Sounds good Max, I don't mind where we meet either. Haven't done a night trip in a while.

    Valley Pan Gasket 3.5

Ah I see.... thats where I'm getting confused. I thought that pic was a composite gasket gone bad. De-laminated as such. Which is why I was wary of fitting it.

    changed my rear shocks

Yeah if you're not worried about the shock you are taking off the stilsons are the way to go.

I also bought myself one of these for doing them up again

Snap on/ bluepoint AT560 seems pretty capable. Goes unto 450 ft lbs with the right air supply.

    Valley Pan Gasket 3.5

Right-o I might order up a composite one then. Have you ever seen this happen to them?

    Valley Pan Gasket 3.5

I've got to replace my valley pan gasket as I've got an oil leak coming from the front seal and clamp. I'm unsure wether to use a composite or tin gasket. I've heard composite seal well but can break down on the lifter side. The tin ones don't have this problem but they can be troublesome to...

Best tool I ever bought was an impact gun. If it doesn't undo the nut/ bolt it busts it off.

    Timing the 3.5

You can solder those poppet valves shut. Or replace them for solid plates. The other thing you could check is that the throttle plates are actually centred correctly. Wind the idle screw right out and make sure the plates shut fully. Then again if you go as far as taking the carbs off to check...

    110 leans to driver side

I can't quite picture what you mean here. Do you mean the floor strengthening struts aren't touching the floor on one side? if so somethings happened which needs looking at. Body is twisted somewhere. If your chassis to axle measurements give you a slightly larger gap on the drivers side then it...

Can't get the steering wheel off

Good tip. I punched myself straight in the face pulling a gear knob off once.
  15. Locky1978

    110 leans to driver side

As long as you've fitted the longer springs to the drivers side and the springs seats haven't rusted through and collapsed it only leaves the springs themselves. I wonder if the spring rates are incorrect in some way. You could swap them over see if the problem moves with them. Might also be...

    Painting

If you spray any big areas it might be worth picking up some Tac-Cloths too. They pick up all those annoying particles that leave nibs in your paint. I always use them now. I think I would spray primer-filler on that bracket and rub back flat.

    Great balls of fire!

I've always considered sticking a fire extinguisher in the Landy. I may buy one sooner rather than later. More so cause mines not an oil burner.
  18. Locky1978

    Timing the 3.5

Yeah thats the ones. The toothy plates behind the spacey plates. My carb spacers are full bore like in the pic. On a separate note I tried fitting my electronic distributor tonight. Omg what a hassle. It turns out the module on the side of the distributor hits the power steering pump bracket. I...

    Timing the 3.5

Yeah mine has the restrictors fitted. I never really found out if they are restrictors or designed to give some turbulence to the air/ fuel mix. I always thought if they made them to restrict they would just reduce the bore size with the plate rather than having the toothed edge it has. Oh and...
