NEARSIDE,come off easy,all of 30 mins
OFFSIDE was a bastid:mad::mad::mad:bottom nut would not undo,tried all sorts including heat to get it it off went so far then would not budge so got the grinder out,kin thing is not working:eek::eek::(:mad:so ended up hack sawing the bolt and snapping half way old shocks were well shagged,there the original 19 year old set rear discs are looking knackered annorl

Same buzz gun. Got a snap on battery buzz gun. If that doesn't do it I get out the air 3/4 drive one. That then does it or sheers it.
 
the problem i found is the shock spins so had to grab it with a large pump pliers while trying to undo it with a 19mm socket dont think a gun would have been much use
 
Big pair of parrot nose pliars work well, fit perfect on the shock body sometimes wrap it a rag works well, then impact gun you'll be supprised how effective they are. I used to always soak them in plus gas few days before hand but now using a different shock set up so don't get this problem :p
 
I also bought myself one of these for doing them up again :rofl:

Been down the pump pliers route before, Now use a big pair of stillsons round the shock, Wedged against something. Leaving both hands free.

i was debating grabbing a set we have a 18 and 24 stillsons there in my dads garage somewhere but did not have hours to look that idea would have worked better though
