There's a fuel cut-off solenoid - it's the only wire that actually goes to the engine. If you cut into this, you can hide a switch somewhere or connect it to whatever.

Karlos28, how do you manage with all the traffic in Glossop? Everytime I drive through there, the traffic is a nightmare. Guess you know the short cuts?

Glossop is the worst place for traffic ever! i guess i just find short cuts (there arnt many!) i have to drive from Glossop to the airport everyday, luckily my hours (at the mo) mean i miss most traffic, but if i have to travel at 8am ish and 4pm ish, it puts at least an hour on my journey!

No probs, much appreciated:)

Apologies about the slow reply, i lost the camera charger!

Here are some pics for you LF, if you need more let me know :D

You've just told everyone tom dick n harry where your "security" cut off switch is:

In the same place as everybody else's? :)

It's not really a security switch unless you use a lockable version. The big red key version just isn't.

Would be a better idea to move the battery so as it is not access able easily and then use a hidden cut off switch. Couldn't be hot wired or started ...... unless they brought a battery with them of course.

Then a solenoid cut off in the fuel line just in case they brought a battery, should slow most thieves down considerably.

They will be slowed down as you need to re move the passenger seat (bolted down), then a the middle seats needs removing and inspection panel.

I know if they want it, it will be gone, but I take every precaution to keep it as ours.

Good idea, mine just tips up and the battery is there:rolleyes:

Doesn't look like it is hidden

That was Bear's point LR.
I told exactly where it was and put a photo.
I removed the exact position but could not remove the picture.
But to get to the battery you have to unbolt the passenger seat and remove both inspection covers from passenger and middle compartments.

If i was a crim I would be stalled at this time and move on to the next motor down the road.

It also has a diskloc fitted.

Just trying my best not to post in the land rover stolen thread.

I use an 'ard case Home
Plus a Disklok Full Cover Large Silver Car Security Disklok - Left Hand Drive - Festive Lights
Plus an Abus Granite heavy duty chain/padlock through front wheel parked on full lock
Plus security etched using a Land Rover kit from ISR Retainagroup - Worldwide solutions for vehicle & property security
Plus security bonnet hinges with M6/M8 shear nuts GMB Bonnet Security Hinges
Plus immobiliser, alarm. Often overnight my wife's car will be parked close behind it on the drive which is covered by motion sensitive security lights.
I love my Landy and am keen to keep it!

Hope that helps?!

Oh...and I forgot to mention that I have tapped 5mm stainless steel ball bearings into all the torque bolts on the doors to stop them simply being undone and the doors removed. The doors and windows are all security etched as detailed in my first post.

I have the Adrenaline pedal lock. Bloody solid thing!

Gotta help slow down / deter scumbags wanting to nick it.
