Data Could you have a careful look at the second pic : is there anything you would diagnose from the colour/condition of the situation under the diaphragm ?

    EAS exhaust diaphragm FOR INFO

It doesn't bear any immediate resemblance to anything in there : I'll examine the diaphgram in detail when to new one arrives. I suppose with the movement and air pressure going through there it also has the potential to move around which could cause intermittent probs. The valve block has not...

    EAS exhaust diaphragm FOR INFO

Just opened up exhaust diaphgram : expecting new parts in mail tomorrow. Inside I found this little piece of crud lodged across diaphgram : on examination it looks like a little piece of string ! Part was flattened and I see a mark on the diaphgram itself which may be a tiny indentation which...

    EAS exhaust diaphragm

Sorry to have caused any confusion with my lack of knowledge : compressor was running exactly as spelled out by Wammers. I was in the process of going round the system all as instructed in Wammers excellent "how to" Had renewed compressor but still no rise : had removed & refitted a rear airbag...

    EAS exhaust diaphragm

Thanks as always Wammers : far from nicking it I have saved the instructions to my own computer and was just trying to explain that I had at least read up on the matter before troubling people. ( you would see that I did give the acknowledgement that the quotation came from you !)...

Hate to tell you this but you need to get a recognised "expert" probably a main dealer to examine, diagnose and give you a formal report on cause. If their report points to negligence you are up and running. Take pics, or get garage to take pics. Assuming a positive report, inform garage who did...

    Advice appreciated..fitting rear air bag

Looking at it again it's possible it's had a bit of force used in the past but I suspect that the advice about cleaning the seat effectively will do the job. Inflating might also do the biz. Thanks guys : I think I was just needing abit of sympathy :(

    Advice appreciated..fitting rear air bag

Thanks Blenheim : I've got one trolley jack under the chassis member and I have another one available which at the moment I have under the suspension arm : I didn't want to force it with that one in case I took the sensor beyond its travel but I might just risk it. Can't guarantee mind will be...

    Advice appreciated..fitting rear air bag

Removed rear one air bag : it was not seated correctly and I was getting small air loss. On refitting ( Dunlops) I find that I am unable to get the top of the bag far enough up through the opening to get the pin through : we are talking 1-2mm. I am on my own and so far have tried forcing it up...
