That black muck is probably good news as it means your master cylinder rubber seals have disintegrated.....it's not your clutch. Just need a new master or a rebuild kit.

I once had a Disco ignition switch become sticky. You would start the car and the starter motor would keep spinning. A little turn towards the off is all it needed to prove it is the switch. Replaced the barrel of the lock not the electric bit on the end.

A 300tdi has a 110 or 90 inch wheelbase. This series 2a was 109 inch. It won't fit. It's on eBay now anyway.

You don't want to use KY in your winch. It's water based and washed away quickly. ps I only know this as I use tubs of the stuff to get my rubber suit, for scuba diving, on. You need a latex safe lubricant for the seals :)
