I've done Whaddon and Yarwell so far, i'm still not certain on the clay of Devils Pit though. I fancy doing another P&P soon once I have done a few more bits to the Disco, want to let my girlfriend have a potter about offroad aswell I think!

Is it really as bad over there as everyone makes out? I've often thought about going as im not far away from there at all but I hear all the local stories about the place, the clay drying and breaking everything, yobs going there in £50 4x4s to wreck etc

As far ad I know the 300tdi doors are the same between 3 and 5 door. Not sure about 200 to 300 though....

Yeah its been reliable *touches wood* It always wants something doing, theres always a new noise/creak/bang. But this aside, it always starts come rain, shine, snow etc it always gets driven hard, up to its ears in mud and dunked in water, never gets washed, its a daily driver so does...

For mounting without drilling holes, have a look into a gutter mount for CB aerial.

Would I take mine to Spain? Hell no! I know its beel looked after but it drives like a pig on tarmac with 285 mud terrains on...be constantly waiting for something to break. The next town is about the limit for mine lol

I have all sorts of bits and pieces in me garage. Different lengths, different weight limits etc Prefer to have a decent selection of stuff so I can use something properly suited to the job than a massive long strop that might make it hard work.....tend to pick up stuff I see laying round site...

My temp guage often goes off the scale on a run then drops right down to normal operating temp - I know theres a problem there somewhere which I believe to be an airlock. As said keep an eye on the fluid levels and see how she gets on, could be no cause for concern.

Had no end of trouble with mine leaking, replaced clip after clip only to find it was the hose that was cracked and generally mullered at the end- chopped half an inch off the end and refitted it, now its good as gold *touch wood*!

You lot have asked and answered a similar question to the one I have, the revcounter on my 300TDi Disco under-reads now and again, sometimes corrects itself when I stomp on the right pedal. Is it the wire going to the W terminal becoming loose? My clock loses its time every now again- same...

It's prob about 1/8th off to the left IIRC, still do-able from underneath you think?
