Yesterday I decided to tackle my little power steering leak, so I tightened the jubilee clips around the hoses coming out of the resevoire that went fine, then I started on the one attached to the bottom of the PAS pump, what fun! I tried tightening it but it just kept spinning and wouldnt go any tighter, I couldnt undo it either I believe the technical term is its f**ked!

So I had to fit another just beneath the original but 3 overtightened buggered clips later I managed to get one on but I was still no better off, the sods still weeping.

So what I would like to know is: has anyone got any advice on how to remove the old clip without damaging the hose? And: Is there a "heavy duty" clip on the market (links please) that I can use that I cant over tighten easily and bugger up as mine all seem to be cheap crap ones?

Ta:)

Had no end of trouble with mine leaking, replaced clip after clip only to find it was the hose that was cracked and generally mullered at the end- chopped half an inch off the end and refitted it, now its good as gold *touch wood*!

Cheers fellas, I had a quick look under last night and its bone dry! must have just been the excess running down causing me to think it was weeping, so far so good fingers crossed.
