Sounds like an ignition fault, possibly a lead or coil pack. Although generally petrol is more forgiving than LPG for slight ignition problems. I get 12ish around town and 16 on motorway at 60, 12ish at 70 with my D2, and that's just hit 134k today. Ben

When I had this problem it was an ok fix. I took the barrel off by hitting the security bolts with a center punch to get them turning. Then the switch bit unscrews leaving just the barrel. I found filling it with a fine grade machine oil and putting the key in and out and working it freed it...

I have had the odd blow back throughout the air box on gas when setting the old single point system up. That's caused by not having enough gas in the mixture. Never had a back fire through the exhaust though so can't offer any advice on that sorry.

Each tank will have a solenoid valve on it so check the electrical connections to both of those Try disconnecting then in turn and find out which tank is not working.

I found a center punch and A big hammer got bolts turning quite easily. So no need to drill etc Once that's off you can take the switch off the back of the barrel and use a screwdriver etc to turn it. Best not leave it like that for long though or you have done half the job for a thief!
