Gazzab79, which disco model did you use?, disco 1, Td5 etc. That might have to suffice for now as lack of sound means i have to listen to the V8 roar!

Is it possible to test the DSP amp in any way? If i put an aftermarket head unit in could i expect anything, by doing this it might confirm it is not the head unit?? Any suggestions would be great, thanks all

Pulling the fuse didn't help at all, disconnected the battery earth for a bit, didn't seem to help- didn't even need to put radio code back in. Is there a sure fire way to check the DSP amp in the boot space, i really can't see it being the head unit as there is nothing from the f/f satnav...

Have you thought about trying a 2 part metal putty, mazel metal/ chemical metal. i used it a few years ago on the wife's car on a metal coolant pipe, it set hard in about 2 mins. you can sand paint etc. the repair i did lasted, and no loss of coolant. Worth a try, far cheaper than new...

I think it should say Riv Nut gun, similar to riveter, but you put a threaded insert into the bodywork which crushes same as a rivet and leaves a threaded anchor point in body,similar to a captive nut. i bought one off flea bay

I had same on mine 12 months ago, pump switch was shot, ended up getting a good second hand unit, pump, switch and accumulator (not cheap) but cheaper than the main dealers!
