Hi all, i can't get the temperature down in the cab of rangie! I know i need the air con recharged after fitting new condenser, however the cab is aways too hot, just blowing hot air whatever the HEVAC set to. Typically during the cold months i only ever had warm air on passenger side so i have got a set of blend motors ready to fit, also drivers side blower was constantly running high so got one of those too. I think i will do a dash out job to change these parts along with the heater 'O' rings at same time. Was is likely to be causing the lack of cooler air in the cab? just so that when dash is out i can change any other pain in the ass bits. Any help would be appreciated, cheers all.

You don't need the dash out to do the blend motors or "O" rings, plenty of short cuts.
My crystal ball is not working so I can't guess what other faults you may have, the only way to find out is the get the HEVAC fault codes read or change every sensor.

Thanks for reply, i have read many ways of replacing blend motors, but can't really see a way of replacing blower motor with dash in? Have asked for fault code reader help in my area, see what happens. Cheers

I have replaced both blower motors with very little dismantling. RAVE is unfortunately less than helpful in this regard, as it doesn't even explicitly state you have two!!

Passenger side, easy peasy, although glovebox can be a bit diddly. Driver's side a little more awkward, but can be done. Remove lower steering column shroud, lover trim panel and the black plastic cover above the pedals. You have to get it past the wiring loom that is affixed to the metal frame in there... Pop all the fasteners you can see on the loom, there is also one partially hidden right under the blower. Once you can manoeuvre the loom a bit, you will be able to wriggle the blower out. A cranked Phillips screwdriver is handy for at least 1 of the blower retaining screws (there are four). Use RAVE as a guide.

Thanks for the reply Clarky, will have a look. It's not a job i am looking forward to, but at the moment its only the HEVAC system letting the car down.

i know it always seems to be never ending though fix one thing and find another!
replaced my radius arm bushes yesterday and noticed a split balljoint gaitor not happy as that is a real pig of a job to do!
