    where's my harman kardom amp?

fyi, if you want a HK amp then I have one that came out of my previous 2003 V6 ES Premium (see my sig!). it should fit if you still have the cabling in place and comes with the brackets to attach to under passenger seat.

Philips screws in front bumper rusted

^^ this is usually the next step - i.e., cut what remains of the existing screw so that is sort of resembles something else you can unscrew. drilling / grinding off the heads is normally a last resort, when you've run out of swear words and patience.

    where's my harman kardom amp?

i would suggest it's been half inched. I've got a 2004 Sport Premium and my amp is under the passenger seat. Is there maybe a cable hanging there where it would have been? the only difference pre and post FL is that in pre-Facelift there was a CD change under the driver seat, whereas post-FL...

    Differences in boot cover

Random question - can anyone tell me if the boot cover fittings changed between the FL1 pre and post facelift? Ie should a boot cover from a 2003 fit on a 2005? I assumed that the fittings hadn't changed.

    Weird engine misfire/idle issue

That's good, I was wondering how the one in the cabin would start to rot! This was the first thing i did... unclipped it and reclipped and clean it all up. There was some crap in there but did seem to seat properly on the clip. Will check out the fuse box later and keep digging.

    Weird engine misfire/idle issue

See attached. Lines indicate the pipe. The circle is approximately where it has broken. These are definitely the symptoms I have - goes away with power, and indeed, you don't see it when the engine revs are dropping. It's only when it's actually idling that it happens. Did I put the carb...

    Keys fell out of Ignition!

And FWIW, this exact thing happens on one of my motorbikes. I don't worry about it (other than the keys flying out at high speeds) - it's actually pretty useful when the engine is running and you realise you need something out of the top box ;)

    Keys fell out of Ignition!

My first piece of advice would be to go over to the "Introduce yourself" forum and do that before the hounds here tear you a new one. Then I would advise searching the forums... http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/fitting-new-ignition-barrel-anything-look-out-168980.html And if all that fails...

    Weird engine misfire/idle issue

Hi all. Car is a 2004 FL1 V6. On the whole it's brilliant. Full service history, no coolant leaks and no lights on the dash. No codes stored in the ECU. There's a strange idle issue. The symptoms are that when you let off the gas and the engine revs drop, then you can see that it sticks a...

What have you done to your Freelander today

    passenger window

if it goes down when you press down and up when you press up then i reckon you've got them the right way around. my guess would be on the regulator or the mechanism itself. could try taking door trim off and greasing all the moving bits?

    Glutton!

What are the chances of you not sticking with a FL? For the money I paid it feels like a *lot* of car. The front end is very eye catching. Parking sensors were an unexpected nicety too (pointless though when you have a tow bar :p )
