I found on my 110 the original ignition system was far too weak, so I gave my ignition system a boost with a MSD 6AL digital with a MSD Blaster coil, I will never look back, starting from cold is a breeze. But as above I have my timing set to 6 degrees BTDC and im idling around 800 RPM.

Hi Phill, Thanks for replying. My original relay was a blue one, but the side melted, so I got a replacement from RimmerBros which was black, I don't think it was a Lucas one tho. Ok so things I will have to check are my earths to the relay, fuse box and all indicators. Thanks for your help.

The gearbox is gonna be bloody heavy, and I hope you have got some big trolley jacks as your gonna need em, and help from a mate... The gearbox will come out without taking the engine out, but you will have to support the engine whilst the mounts are undone...

I agree with Fett... I had a simular prob when I rebuilt my SU's, I found that my air fuel mixture wasnt strong enough... Try adjusting the air fuel mixture, as you have had the carbs apart....

Hello mate, is Diesel still dripping...? Because it might be worth while looking down the drivers side of the engine towards the back of the cylinder head to make sure the fuel pressure regulator isnt leaking... Only a thought, as I had to replace one on my Uncles TD5 a while ago...

sounds to me like air is getting into the fuel system, check for leaks and all pipes are tight and secure.
