    Buyin back me fooked Disco'

£8200 is not a bad payout for that. It looks no later than a 2001 would I be right? What exactly needs doing to it btw?

    Buyin back me fooked Disco'

Blimy I bought a 2003 TD5 S 5 seater ex heathrow security for £4600. Admittedly the bodywork is not brilliant in places and it had done 109000 miles but still. In any case I would have thought that the difference (6k) could get him a good one

6k would probably get you a good facelift disco.

    ACE System Restore??

From my experience, driving a D2 with the ACE not working is rather like driving a D1. My D2's ACE was not working when I first got her. If you are not going to have the ACE then it may be a good idea to modify the suspension to non ACE standard. I know this involves changing out certain...

    ACE System Restore??

It would seem that they have decommissioned the ACE system on the vehicle. I would probably go and ask them what other work was done. It seems that they have changed the pully and belts for a non ACE vehicle. Ideally they should have swapped out certain suspension components for non ACE...

    Buyin back me fooked Disco'

If it's that D2 in the avator then unless it's particularly special I would pobably buy it back off them and break it for spares. 6K is a lot of cash to be putting right a D2 IMHO, especially a pre facelift one - if indeed that is yours there.

battery flat, car imobilised! gawd now what?03 disco 2

A Hawkeye is a diagnostic tool for landrovers. Mine happens to be programmed to the D2. I am in Gunnislake on the Devon Cornwall Boarder, I think you may be fairly close to me but there will probably be someone closer. This may be able to help find the root of your problem

Stick your location up. Someone with a Hawkeye may be able to help.

    help needed please

If it's a pipe, there's no such thing as a cheap fix, sorry. I had one done on mine about 6 months ago at an indie. He charged around £270. Mind you he had to remove rad hoses etc and hence had to refill the coolent afterwards.

    Disco 2towbar on a 1

Don't think so. Part of the problem is pre and post 2000. It's something to do with the towball IIRC. Anyway, why not find a cheap D1 tow bracket on e bay and flog the D2 one for good money? You'll be in pocket.

I would have thought that a commercial disco would lend itself to this very well.

    Back bumper on 300Tdi

Chances are that the hole you found won't be the only problem. You may need to replace one or both chassis mounts. When I had this work done on my D1 they had to undo both chassis mounts and lift the body up a few inches to get to the areas. I took the opportunity to change the bumper over...

Cheap Engine Oil 15w40 Semi Synthetic

It's £29.90 for an oil change with ONE filter for any car. The D2 uses two filters, so they charged me a extra £5 for the 2nd filter. Fair enough I thought. The 2nd time I took my own filters. They charged me £25 just for the oil. At about 8 litres that's just over £3 per litre. Obviously...

    Q plate??

Kwik fit in Alexander Road in Plymouth are extra careful. They don't put it on a rolling road. They just stick an accelerometer in it and test the brakes in the car park! They did this with my old d1 With diff lock off the rolling road wouldn't have hurt it. If the rear axle is spinning then...

Cheap Engine Oil 15w40 Semi Synthetic

That's pretty good I must admit I've been taking my D2 to Kwik Fit. They have a fixed price oil and 1 filter change for any vehicle. £29.90 all it. For the D2 they charge an extra £5. Last time I took it there I had my own filters (£4.50 for 2 Bearmach filters via e bay). They charged...

Good Day today - how long will it last

They should send it within a few hours. I had trouble getting mine, phoned Bearmach at HQ who then rattled the Omnitec people. It turned out they hadn't received it. To their credit they sent it straight away. The following day I got a delivery failure for the e mail I sent asking for it!:doh...

I've posted a few times on this forum already but not in this section, so I thought it was about time. I live in east Cornwall and 6 months ago I acquired a 2003 TD5 disco that first saw service as a security checkpoint vehicle at Heathrow Airport. I had wanted a TD5 disco for a while but...

    disco 2 tow bar

Unless I'm mistaken the air sprung one is easily adjustable. There is a sliding plate with a bar through it. This is there to enable you to set the tow hitch at the correct level given the ride height you've set the air springs to. Obviously you need some adjustment with the steel one but as...

A while ago I went to my local LR dealer for some bits. Caught sight of some discs on the shelves in their stock room BRITPART!!!!!!! I kid you not!
