D1 Tailgate won't open - Not usual fix??

Thank you for the reply. I assume you think it could be the final part of the latch mechanism sticking? Do you know if this is common and something that does free up? I had spotted something when trying to learn more, about owners cutting doors apart due to no other options! I really hope this...

    small list of jobs!

I can say that I definitely felt the difference between gearshift when i drained atf from my r380 and filled with mtf. This may not be the case for the lt77. Anything that helps the feel of such an agricultural gearbox is worth the extra £15-20 on oil in my opinion. All the best

    small list of jobs!

While i remember, look into getting your clutch fork strengthened, or buy a HD one. That must be a pain to have to change if you were none the wiser and the rod pushes through it not long after doing a clutch. The fork is only a few quid along with a fitting kit for it.

    small list of jobs!

Remember it is worth doing the rear crank seal (behind flywheel) and g/box front seal if doing the clutch and have no history of them, the last thing you need a month after is to see a leak and have to do the whole job again for a tenners worth of bits. The correct oil for the R380 gearbox can...

    Front pads - Solid/Vented discs - Same?

Hi all, Will front brake pads with part no: STC9190 (i believe for the vented front set up) fit the standard solid disc set up I have on my 300 disco? I have the solid pin with spring type front calipers, the only difference I can read about the set ups is the spacer between the caliper...

    diff flange torque

Really? The pinion shaft that the nut tightens on to has a taper bearing on the rear of it. As far as I am aware after removing a few, the torque is important. Too tight and the bearing will wear out, too loose and the bearing will wear out, plus wear out the teeth on the pinion gear and...

200tdi Brake master cylinder fit 300tdi?

Hi, as the title says - will an earlier 2 pipe non abs 200tdi brake master cylinder work in a 300tdi that has the 2 pipe master cylinder and no abs? I know the servos are the same. Apart from the part numbers being different, they physically look the same. The systems are very...

Thank you for the reply. I had look at the models you suggested, the casing looks the same, but the motor is different. Any ideas on what would cause the freespool issue it has? Cheers

Warn winch indentification ~ Help needed!

Hi all, I need help working what model Warn winch is fitted to the front of my disco 1. I figured my best bet would be to ask on here after Warn themselves have not seemed to be all too helpful. Today I got the white spirit and a scraper out to try and clean off some rattle can paint from...

Re programming 2 button key fob?

Hi, Sorry if a clear answer has been given to this question before, but i have looked around the internet and found conflicting answers. I have bought a working used 2 button fob for my 1996 disco from ebay, as i would like to have a spare. Can i get it programmed to my disco? If so...

Rubber cover between body and gearbox

Thank you Mr noisy, I now understand what you mean about using it upside down. I will take a look when next working on it, but can't remember if the outline shape is symetrical or not. The mad hat man - do you think you could let me know what you would want for that rubber cover? I have a...

Rubber cover between body and gearbox

Have thought of fitting it on the underside to help with the lift, but it will only gain me a few mm. Had an idea to cut the piece of the tunnel out of another disco to use as a spacer on the underside. I guess i really need to find a disco being broken if you think the bits are silly money...
