Im not familiar with the TD5 i own a 300tdi, id check all the hoses are on tight, no clips have snapped, if not it may be the water pump, but dont quote me on that, a TD5 owner should be able to confirm this, ill have to look on the rave cds to find out what pipes your looking at! Give me 10...

There are replacement kits available, fleabay sometimes has em.

Windows= check switches in rear door panels arnet disconnected/gunked up with crap. Sunroofs= may have been sealed shut and disconnected if previous owner had water ingress, or again, could be dirty switches. Easy enough to check out! Welcome to the forum ;)

As has been said 100's of times here, teh EGR valve wont even be looked at during an MOT neither is the cat on a disco. Many people have sailed thru MOT's with no cat/egr ;)

EDC is electronic diesel control ie the ECU for the car. Try searching EDC on this forum. As for jap import, do you have the import papers for it? Your insurance company should be able to tell you also. Is it a double DIN avic? Reason im asking is mine has an avic in it i fitted myself but...

Dont be pedantic, if the turbo is starved of oil; it packs up, is the point being made. When the turbo went pop on my fourtrak, it billowed smoke and used all the oil.
