Hi, I have an aftermarket TOAD immobiliser fitted (by the previous owner) with the fob on the keyring which stops the immobiliser LED on top of the steering wheel cowling flashing when in close proximity.I will have to check for the coil that you mention to see if I have a factory fitted...

Hi Frag, I also have a Jap import,a 1998 R plate 2.5 TDi which has the same set up as you i.e. fob locks/unlocks doors as it should but no hazards flashing or horn sounding.I did read somewhere that the Japs had a thing about noise pollution etc etc and thats why you dont get hazards or horn...
