sounds like a blazingly obvious question but here goes!! there are a couple of sockets under the bonnet next to the lights. are they for driving lamps? if so where can i get a pair of plugs to match up to them and will the lamps come on when i put full beam on?

OR

are theyt fog lamp sockets, if so, where does the fron fog switch wiring live so i can rig a switch up to it.

thanks in advance for any advice or hints

Hi,

I have these "spare" sockets as well next to the headlamps.I read somewhere that these are used for the headlamp levelling if you have it fitted i.e. the selector switch next to the lecky mirrors control.

I dont have the headlamp adjuster switch but have the "spare" sockets so it sounds right in my case but I may be wrong...........any other suggestions ???

i got the headlight lever gizmo on my disco but also got the spare plugs near the lights,i thought they were for fog lights if they are then they will probably work when you put your fog lights on,check them with a multi-meter

1997 R reg 3dr disco 300tdi (not an es or anyhting - just a bog standard one!!)
