You'll find if its been working in a gas terminal it will be diesel. I once done a job in an oil refinery complex and my boss wasn't allowed in cos her car was petrol. Something about the spark ignition on the petrol.

Land Rover Vin plates are available on Ebay. Not sure how much but they are available for both long and short wheelbase versions. They have all the info on them except a chassis number. Not sure if it gets stamped on once its bought or if its a case of stamping it yourself.

As far as I can make out you need a station wagon fuel tank. They are the same in the S2, S2a and S3. They mount into the rear crossmember and the crossmember above the rear axle. Only thing i would suggest is to remove the parabolics and fit a set of standard springs. Sounds to me the springs you have fitted have no give in them and their a bit too hard for the road. I wonder what the condition of them are like, are they new springs? My friend has a S1 which he fitted...

Cant see it being a problem for MOT. The only thing they ask for is that the battery is securly clamped into position and wont move about. Another thing is that the terminals are not going to come into contact with any metal objects that would cause a short between the terminals........
