I have the change to buy a series ii truck cab 109. It drives but has no mot; 27,500 miles from new. Condition is pretty good as its been stored in a barn. I'll be the 3rd owner. My mate bought it 2 months ago from a farmer whos brother has died.

Its a 2 litre diesel and has a spare engine, gearbox, steering wheel and steering box. Thje steering box is reconditioned.

What do you reckon I should pay; ball park, 1k, 2k, 3k?? I know what he's asking but am not sure if its good value.

The reg seems to be pretty ngood value in its self AHB XXX?? could be worth up to £500

anycar is only worth what you are willing to pay for it
you gotta look how much it gonna cost to put back on the road

He wants a grand but I'll get it for £900. It looks like it needs two rear outriggers. The brakes are OK but the system needs new hoses and re fillin. Engine is OK, not even that oiley. Not much rust at all. The sills are fine and its all been well waxoiled.

What do you think

So whats he askin?

That seems a tad expensive to me. (Personal opinion). I picked up a S III 109 needs much the same , i.e. rear forward out riggers an a few other odds an ends. I picked mine up for £250. Truck cab fitted full hard top and side with it also. As has been said before, it's worth what you want to spend and what you can afford. I can do all the work myself and hope to have it tested and on the road for around £600. Ok mine did look a little worse for wear, an I took a chance as it was bought as a non runner. ( Easily fixed and now running )........

A '58 is a old landy and may well have more value, I suspect however anything more than 5oo is too much.
