    heater problem

I'd pull the pollen filter out and check it. Mine (see my post) was full of leaves and the heater was pathetic. New filter and its now working properly. After that check the two pipes under the bonnet that disappear into the bulkhead (heater matrix feed and return) They should be roughly the...

    Freelander mk1 td4 front fogs.

Mine are definitely 'spots' (sorry, I misread the OP's question) and are legal here in France. Pretty amazing light output too from a factory setup.

    Freelander mk1 td4 front fogs.

I didn't think mine were working until I found out they only come on when their switch is on and main-beam is selected. Not sure if this is factory or a previous owner mod.

That made me laugh as I too, as a new owner, got under the vehicle to remove the tray and thought "surely its not bloody riveted on":) Further looking and I found the eight bolts and six screws :) Life is a constant learning curve.

No, that gives you access to nothing, I'm afraid. It and the four screws just hold the mirror on.

    steering wheel vibration update

Just a thought on this as the wheels and hubs are an interference fit on FL's it follows that a small piece of dirt/rust could cause the wheel not to sit squarely on the hub. When we got ours (recently) I had great difficulty getting a couple of wheels off as they had grown together on the hub...

    Door Mirror Problem

The fold-in mirrors on our FL sometimes work and sometimes don,t. I took the switch out to clean it but didn't take it apart as it just looked like there would be lots of minute parts inside that would jump out all over the place.

New MOT rules coming - beware of cat removal.

That system is what happens in France. The vehicle is on a nationwide database and the information can be pulled up at any testing station. (controle technique). Advisories are printed out on each test even if the remedial work has been done. We have a test every 2 years after the vehicle is 4...
