AFAIK the 24 spline axles were standard on discos from march 1994 - model year 1995 (same time when ABS became available). If you want to be positively sure, get the front axle serial number: - it should have a 3 character code (like 32L for example), folowed by a serial number, I guess 5...

Is there any smoke at the exhaust while cranking? Not even some small puffs? Did you disconnect the injector fuel pipes from the injection pump or just undone them from the injectors only?
