Its only happening when I turn, and not every time. When you say have you any grease/oil in my swivels are you thinking that there may be something going on in that direction instead?

Can you guys tell me if this is a job that needs immediate attention or whether it would be ok left for a short time. A time when I may just be able to muster some help with it.

I have had the same problem in the past, towing up those never ending mountain roads in the Scottish Highlands. However, I've not had a problem since removing my EGR valve. I don't know whether it's removal was relevant, but it may just be worth looking at.

Could one of you good folk out there tell me just how easy or difficult it is to change CV joints on a Discovery 300Tdi 1995. Is it likely to be a specialist job or maybe one for the layman?

Hughie Thanks for the suggestions. I had the A frame ball joint replaced a couple of months ago so would like to think that it is not the problem. I'll check the CV joints first.
