Evening all, yesterday I posted in the newbie section to introduce myself and today I put a deposit down on an Imported County. I have posted some pictures in the gallery. It looks blue in the pictures (taken on my mobile phone) but it is a strange green colour in reality. It has a winch bumper and a 2 inch lift kit. It is immaculate inside and out and not a spot of rust anywhere. It has done a little over 108,000 km (certified) which is about 67,500 miles. It has aircon, cruise control and an auto box and cost £3900.
I will do the EGR mod (does anyone know why the search function draws a blank when searching "EGR"?) and want to get some side steps for the little ones and the 5' 3" wife. I am a complete Land Rover novice so any suggestions for suppliers for spares and accessories would be glady received.

Looks pretty good, like the front end with the winch in there, tidy! The colour is called Caprice, by the way. Same as mine. Good luck with it.

That is strange, there have been loads of threads on EGR removal. But I can tell you its a straightforward, relatively cheap mod to do. you can get the blanking plate for the exhaust manifold for a couple of quid on ebay. the 2 capscrews on the manifold can be difficult to remove. You need a 6mm allen key. Squirt them with WD40 and let them soak first. Then you need the top hose from a 200tdi or just cut the egr off and somehow seal the end but you are better off with a new hose. Then just unplug the electrical connection and cable tie it out of the way somewhere tidily and then seal the end of the small vac pipe. Job done.

Thanks Miles. I must be honest I'm not that keen on the colour, I prefer darker blues and greens, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Thanks Rev, I tried the search function both at work and at home just incase it was a problem my end but "EGR" definately returns no results. I was hoping one of the threads would have some pictures but your explanation was spot on. Thanks for that, I'll wait until I take delivery of the Disco so I will have a better idea of what is involved.

I found the same `EGR` brings nothing back but `EGR blanking plate` returns the answers you need.I have been kindly offered one from `FOX` and intend to have it fitted at the weekend, can`t wait for a little more uumpff and some mpg.
