Try talking to Strathearn Engineering in Aucherarder. They make chasis from scratch and do a lot of fabrication... You may be lucky... You probably want to talk to Martin Jenkins 01764 663020

Parabolics are better off-road as they give more articulation. They also allow faster movement at high speed, thus need new dampers because the old ones can boil their oil, not designed for the higher frequency operation. This means the tyres stay in contact with the road more, always good...

A word of caution on the new gearboxes, the new parts are not made by the same folk as made the old ones... If you have an old box with a few peices that need replacing, replace them. The recon boxes have parts made in India that are "cause for concern"...

Another caution... Fairey don't make spare parts any more.... Getting very difficult to get, I have a Rocky Mountain overdrive now.

Hi Guys, A word of caution... The two suggested methods are good, and each one is fine on its own. However, I would not advise fitting both RR diffs and an overdrive. The power in the 2.25 is simply not enough. The V8, nice idea but go carefully... OK you now have the power in the engine but...

I know a man who is very harsh on his springs, and he swears by Rocky Mountain parabolics, Canadian. I am generally very cautious of anything originating in India or China as the quality of metal is often at best questionable. The British Springs parabolics used to be made in the UK, it's a wee...

Interestingly when I was trying to replace the springs on my 88', before to Parabolics. I had springs from both Paddocks and Craddocks that seemed to be made of mild steel. They were just soft and flattened out... I went to the parabolics in disgust as the quality of the others was so poor...

Neither bit mate, but a useful supplier! ;) The first but mounts on the shaft I need. The second one runs parallel to it.

Hi Lazy, No mate, not just a simple axle setup, machines splines both inside and outside with a profile from nearly 3" diameter down to about 1/2".. a problem peice! ;) Charles has given me a local lads name though, maybe get one knocked up. ;)
