i have the same landy as yourself, i have the same problem with mine, although once the fuel gauge goes just below half, the needle is up and down like a yo yo, ive replaced the sender twice checked all the wiring earths ect, still the same, ive just learned to live with now

most likley the low pressure fuel pump in the tank packing up, the copper commentators on the fuel pump motor break away and the carbon brushes get stuck in them, if the motor stops on a broken segment it wont work or start, if the motor stops on a good segment of the motor it will start and run...

as boris said, dont be put off by my review, i previously bought a series chassis off them and it was fine, i probably had a friday afternoon special, all im saying is there aftermarket service is awful if theres a problem, just make sure you measure your chassis from corner to corner to check...

try richards chassis, i had a galv chassis of marsland for a defender, when i came to fit the doors, no chance, turns out the chassis was twisted 5/8inch out of square, marsland said this was not possible:eek: they agreed to send out a engineer who was by magic going to get my bodywork to fit,:D...
