was after electric really, dunno if i could b bothered winching by hand

it wont get much use so dont need anything special. was looking at an 'Extreme Terrian' one, heard they r ok. dont seem to b able to find any really good bargains

car seems a lot better now. seems like its been using oil and now i'v added 3.5 liters its much better.

what else could a winch do for me? yep thats all i'l be doing. i'll keep a look out for 9.5k then. cheers

im after a winch for my disco. common ones for sale seem to be 6000, 9500, & 12000 lb. i know i should get the best money allows, but what pulling capacity would be the least i should get for my disco??

with them forward pointing snorkels where do u stand with it sucking in the rain? surely at speed it'l suck up loads and eventually so some damage

that would give u a live when ignition is on and not just wen engine was running. is there not an output from alternator or fuel/injetor pump? i'v been towing my caravan for years and never bothered with the aux socket as i charge it at home then plug in at site, it dont need power wen driving.

i marked mine up and just cut a bit out at a time and testing. wen enuf was cut i hammered the 2 skins back together. was suprised how much metal needed cutting out. took me a good few hours to do

easily solved by having it derated. a sticker bought from a trailer shop and placed over original rating wud be sufficiant.

i'l check the pipes, i'v never needed to wait for glow plugs even wen below freezing, fuel filter and sedimeter was done couple thousand miles ago

recently i have been having problems starting my car (disco 200tdi). it turns over for up to 10 seconds before starting then has a slight misfire and a cloud of smoke for a min, then it'l be fine for a couple of days. any ideas wot it could be?

i tried mine there too but as i sit close to the wheel kept banging my head on it. so i loosened the map shelfy thing and fitted between it and the roof (where u got ur wire tucked in) and retightened. does the job just fine
