    Adrian Flux WTF....!!!!!!

That's for a 2.5 petrol 90. My run-around is only £200 extra on the policy, too. Where I live has an extremely low crime rate and the area is a quiet village in the countryside. I think that makes a pretty big difference.

    Adrian Flux WTF....!!!!!!

Admiral multi for me too. £600 comprehensive cover and i'm 20 with 0 years NCB on the landy and main driver.

    Clutch

Delphi ones are pretty cheap. I'd just replace it, less hassle.

    Paint galvanised chassis or not?

Paint. It'll last longer and as others have mentioned, be easier to waxoyl.

2.5 n/a after a good service has less "poke" ?

    Heh, I was thinking that...

    Whats this seal called?

Flywheel housing gasket was a bitch on mine. Ended up using a rigid blunt scraper as a chisel and a small hammer to chip it off. I thought the sump didn't have a gasket?

    Spotted a cheap defender.

Ah, i assumed it was a diesel turbo (as per the description), but i may well be wrong. I don't actually know what year they stopped fitting them in preference to the 200tdi?

    Spotted a cheap defender.

I'll bet the chassis is like Swiss cheese or the engine has self destructed from what I've heard about the DT

But they advertise the strongest fittings

Daylight - where there shouldn't be....

Should have sorted it out when you first noticed, daymn. There doesn't look like there's enough metal there to weld to and that's before scraping off the rest of the rot.

anyone fitted kenlowe fans to disco?

Why oh why does it have to rain the week i decided to store my new engine outside. I also need to take the fan off that badboy so it doesn't foul on the steering box.

anyone fitted kenlowe fans to disco?

To cause arguments on internet forums? :)

    What's your best tool

Angle grinder.. without a doubt. Saved me countless hours of sawing away at old gutter bolts and other **** that the previous owner thought would be a good idea.

    Cambelt what ifs...

Get a set of left-cut (anti-clockwise) drill bits. They normally come as part of a set for drilling out broken bolts.

2.5 petrol flywheel housing onto disco 200tdi?

Fook it, i ain't taking off the petrol flywheel too.. Just getting the 200tdi flywheel off is a nightmare. I've now managed to completely bend my pretty heavy duty 1/2 drive Tee-bar and tent pole extender. Haynes manual says you have to replace the flywheel bolts after removing them.. worth it?

2.5 petrol flywheel housing onto disco 200tdi?

As the title says, would it fit straight on? I have taken out the 2.5 petrol and it would be so much easier if that flywheel housing would bolt onto the disco 200tdi as i wouldn't need to feck about drilling new holes. There is one obvious difference that i can see, the starter only has...

Land rover driver sought after accident

Recently I was overtaking Lycra-clad idiots riding 3 abreast on a slight incline. It was a pretty busy road and they clearly didn't give a **** so my passenger decided to wind the window down the give them and ear-full. I proceed to put my foot down to pass them and avoid making us look like...

What would YOU do?? Rear vents.

Obviously this is what LR were thinking when they put them in: "The panels on this 'fender fit too well! There's just no way for air to get in." ;)

Saw on TV where someone was using used engine oil. Piggers impounded the car anyway and checked the fuel in-case he was masking red diesel. Turns out the plonker was, ergo, the piggers only need to have reasonable suspicion and you're walking home.

    half decent oil cheap

I buy mine from a haulage depot at about £2.50 /ltr, still got 15L of it hanging around. Should last me a few thousand miles :)
