Freelander 1 V6 HeadGasket - what tests to run

when i do a compression test, I do a couple of initial tests to get an average value. I then pour some oil into the cylinder and redo the test. if its a ring issue you get a much higher reading. if its a valve issue nothing changes.

I believe the MG TF brakes are Meastro items and they a scary as hell on ours. I am waiting to find a HGF with the twin pot calipers and wheels too suit. cheaper to buy a car than the parts seperate. Plus get lots of spare items too.

When i return from holiday , I will be selling the Transit van thats sat on my drive. Then its 3 door project time, been looking at L series but there are not too many around so may have to be a TD4. I really like the tuning ability of the L series I am reading about on here.

Added to the fact LR decided to spec fudge as a material to make some of the parts on our freelanders. I only need look at my fuel tank cradle and more bits drop off. I must replace it before the tank ends up on the floor.

Joe H, I dont as a rule use grips. Mole grips being next to useless compared to the Irwins. but once you have a corroded rounded fastener/nut/ bolt head the vice grips can get you out of problem position.
