If you have no green hdc light (flashing or otherwise) when turned on then pull up the gear lever gaiter and you'll find the wires to the switch have broken

there is no wiring from the factory so you wont find it. All wiring should be in the kit you bought. Switch goes in the gap above the drivers glovebox lid in a small panel (supplied in kit)

It shouldn't run with the ignition off. Possibly a sticking relay or short curcuit somewhere.

MGF has VVT or VVC or whatever its called. Variable valve timing anyway. You'll need to fit the standard freelander stuff to it for it to work as the ecu's will be different too, the freelander ecu wont work with VVC

No common faults for this, you'll just have to run the engine and check where its coming from.

If you dont go offroading take the prop off and throw it away, you'll get better fuel econemy and it'll drice nicer. If you want the prop on there then pay silly money for a new vcu.

its either lost the ignition feed to the motor or the motor is faulty, usually it's the motor that fails. Try operating the tail window using the switch, chances are it wont work. This because the park switch in the wiper motor is ****ed and the ccu thinks the wiper is on and wont let you...

air bag light has nothing to do with the MOT and wont fail if its on

check the arm/release fork in the gearbox, they tend to seize. Get someone to pump the clutch and see how far it moves. If it hardly moves then it's seized.

the oil filter is the same part for BMW engines, the washer is the BMW sump plug washer, chuck it in the bin.
