just done an oil change on my td4, and in the box with the filter (genuine LR) was a clear plastic bag. It had a rubber ring, which I sussed out easy enough, but where does the small copper washer go ?

it is too small to be a sump plug washer, so where should it go ?

Dunt qwote me, but i fink it sits under the oil filter cartridge!!

oops, missed it then, too black and dark to see down into there. Haynes manual didn't mention it at all.

the oil filter is the same part for BMW engines, the washer is the BMW sump plug washer, chuck it in the bin.
