HI, Is there any way to turn off the passengers airbag other than just unplugging it? (so we can use a baby seat).

regards phil:cool:

No
and if you unplug it , you'll get a warning light and an MOT failure.

put the binlid in the back.

it will run ok but with the light on you will get an mot fail... in theory you coudl reconnect it for the mot and be OK but I wouldn't wanna mess personally unless there's a really good reason why you can't put the little one in the back...

kids in the front are a distraction for the drivers anyway so it isn't advisable

then crack on and disconnect if you wish...

I just did a search and you are right, the airbag does not form part of the mot.. odd as I know the current bunch of ****ers in charge of the country did say they wanted it to be in order that vehicles would have an effective end of life at between 10 and 15 years so getting all working class people off the roads and making it easier for them to get to the end of their street in a jag...

seems they were crap at making that happen too...
