Too be very fair mate the offer for £700 is very good.. I dont no why you think its worth so much :confused: Do you really think you will get £1400 to £1500 once the weldings done :eek:, you can get discos with plenty of offroad gear on for that money.:) you would be better off breaking it...

in that case then , i would get some quotes see what people will do for there money.... On the head gasket , make sure there going to skim head , and while heads off ,worth doing valves, valve stem seals etc if your going to keep it .:) is your mechanic up for the job ? will he do it properly ...

at nearly 300k you need to be asking yourself whats going to fail next ? gearbox , transfer box , diffs ???? then you got all the welding to do .. if you aint handy with some tools , then its going to cost you a fortune .... your proberly looking at £600 for a garage to do the head gasket...

shame you aint got any better pics , so we can see whats going on ...:) i have fitted spacers to the front of my seats to lift the front up , so the back sits down , alot better driving postion....

are earlier disco seat bases different in height ?

How many shafts have you broke before in that diff ?

all depends if you have a press , or use of a press to remove . if not then you need to burn them out , and hack saw , which takes ages. if you do a search , all the info you need.;)

spent a full day grinding all mine off , chassis inner wings etc, then lashed 7 litres of waxoil on the beast.

good move , will they powdercoat them ?

have you done any mods .... have you now got some recovery points and a rope.:)
