Thanks for the replies. I wasn't planning on using them to within an inch of they're lives, I was going to use one for the rear wiper, and another for a couple of 55w fog lights using a relay, hopefully won't be a problem

Worth a try, always start with the simple stuff :p If the fan has had water in it and the fan has seized then it could overload the circuit and blow the fuse as soon as you use it, check the fuse you changed, if that fuse has blown it could be seized

Might be too simple but how heavy is the level that turns the heater on? Ive had a cable come loose and slip off, there should be quite a bit of weight to move the lever, unlikely, but possible
