don't think its the servo cause if it goes the pedal would be rock hard if I remember wrightly. I would think air getting in or not bled out proparly also the rear cylinders are most likley place, they could be weeping slightly giving you the prob as described

its a defender engine . its ideas for the mounts/hangers underneath that I need info on. the 200 tdi looks to hang on rubbers rather than bolted threw rubbers as the n/a engine is. also the back box is mounted across the chassis which the n/a isn't. its these mounts/hangers that I need help with...

I've just went down the 200 tdi route. thougt it was going to be less hassel but a tad mare expensive.

I'm in the middle of getting sorted out with putting in a 200 tdi in to my 1994 90 defender , as this is ex mod it has a n/a engine. its the fitting of the exhaust thats got me as the mounting brackets are totaly differant can any give me any photos or help with what mounting brackets an rubbers...

you better keep an eye on that ,cause there could be trouble commin.

the foot wells where you put your feet check for rust ,holes , patches.bulk head where the doors bolt on again for rust ,repairs. swivels should be shiney with no leeks these are on each end of the front axel really obvious. get right underneath to check the whole of the chassis front to back...

mine doesn't some days its really good other days not so, lettig it warm up is really the secret to mine and aviod really steep hills. :D

have done a search but no help paddocks list one belt for the n/a engine but sure I've read that there is two differant belts forthe millatry speck engine. mine has a alloy t/case so take it it should be the standard belt. any opinion on that cheers :confused:
