Cheers zen been searching the web and can get 4.0 manual fly wheel off eBay for £110 only one I could find, and a gems ecu for £25 so that's a hell of a lot cheeper than megasquirt, but cannot find anything on the web about making the ecu standalone, that's the bit that worries me as I'm alright...

I see will give the rockers a good go over, thought the ecu needs the bcem and is a pain to get working on its own

Put a strait edge across top of valves will tell you if offending valve is sitting deeper in the seat, ie offending valve will be higher than others, if all are same then prob is somewhere else

As mr noisy said bonnet off and crossmember out should go in, but prob not if you still got the big supercharger bolted on the engine still;) Don't forget to get the pics when you do it

As Wiltshire landyman say's totally pointless,trust me been there,put a massive Intercooler on my 200 tdi and has done jack just added a bit of lag don't bother just give all the original parts a good clean.

Sorry to the op but, zen how is his stuff and the ms2 direct coil fire ecu? as I heard the can have issues hence a lot of guys going with ms1 and edis.

Some more info needed, what vehicle is it has it been converted to v8?

Have you been dumping the landy in water? I went through 6 starter motors last year because of this, the solenoid on the starters really don't like water, give the starter a tap with a small hammer next time it does it and that should free the solenoid and then start.

Undo props, remove tunnel and floor, put large ratchet strap over roof and round gearbox, unbolt gearbox and Tranny from mounts, undo bell housing bolts, slide box and tranny back and rest bell housing on middle crossmember remove clutch and replace then reverse what you just did bout 4 hrs on...
