Stirling work there Stu... Can I ask if you got the inner wheel arch and light box as a complete assembly ? Mine now resemble what's left on your workshop floor ! How it all stays where it is I'll never now !! Cheers.

Congratulations... it must be a relief.. Could the black **** on the roof perhaps have been old adhesive for vinyl ?

Getting on well there.. Laughed when I saw the wood clamp !? I had a bit jammed from one side to the other when I was welding the back of mine up. Versatile stuff is wood ! :)

Good news fella... fixed without spending any money ! :D Don't you just love old Range Rovers !!

I had this problem a few years ago... can't remember the exact symptoms, but it wouldn't start... so it was decided to change the ignition barrel which solved the problem :) Not the cheapest solution :eek:, so check those things as suggested. Take a look at the starter earth as well. Good luck !

[ Spent a week in Mortehoe last year on me hols... very nice.. when it wasn't raining ! :) Visited Woolacombe....There was a bloody steep hill the other side.. had to stop to let someone past and couldn't get out of first gear for the rest of the climb !! Nice work so far. :)

There was three separate photostreams containing this vehicle. The one that hasn't been linked here, was the same photo as used on Ebay... and it was taken in 2010 ! I see that it has now sold... £2350. :eek:

That forward control at Gaydon is fitted with a 6cyl Perkins !

Land Rover Forward Controls It seems there was an 88 forward control.

Finished work today...walked across the car park.. rear tyre flat to the rim:( Got the compressor out.. all noise no wind !! Check the spare.. not much better than the one on the motor (must check spare more often) :o Jack out.. wheel off.. rolled down the road to the nearest man in a shed...

I would have edited the previous post for this comment but it has taken long enough to get this far !! There is a lower section directly behind the opening that allows the glass to slide back... unfortunately the sagging cloth now hides it ! [/IMG]
