Annual mot test today another year another pass had it six and a half years and it’s been a good motor

I’ve thought many a time about doing this mod as normally mine sits at quarter way mark but if it’s very warm or I’m towing it sits at half way so I’m not sure if I’d have any overheating problems if I do it any thoughts on this much appreciated

Had mine for just under seven years and always used 5/30 fully synthetic and had no problems and it’s worked hard as it does a lot of towing

Hi there I had a similar noise it turned out to be top suspension mount made a cracking noise when I was locking over especially near full lock

That’s absolutely a brilliant job and a credit to you , but Jayridium is right you need to rest and recouperate the car will still be there afterwards I wish you and your family well and look forward to seeing some pictures of finished car when you are fully recovered .

Don’t know then Nodge68 mine has six cd’s in it and definitely didn’t have to put a code in maybe it’s just if the unit is removed from vehicle I know you know your freelanders can only say what mine is like but it’s defo six cd

Hi I have a 53 plate with the same stereo and when my battery failed I just swopped it and it worked with not having to put a code in.

Just noticed yours is a 2003 it must be a late pre facelift as mine is also 2003 but is a facelift model

I think there may be a difference as I'm pretty sure the pre facelift uses h4 headlight bulbs where as my facelift has two h7 I dare say someone will correct if I am wrong

Hi I had a similar problem fitted a hella relay all sorted no probs hope this helps

When I disconnected the car battery to replace it my radio came on afterwards without the code but I believe if you disconnect the radio plugs it will require the code

My FBh plays up if I remove the fuse turn on ignition for a few secs turn off replace the fuse start car it cuts in and works for a bit then cuts out I'm wondering if it's the temp sensor because if I put that in the freezer it's runs normally till next time any ideas appreciated

Was going to do this mod myself but found a post on here somewhere that didn't recommend it if you tow big trailers well I tow 1500 kgs with our caravan so I'm now undecided what to do apparently it causes overheating whilst towing

Thanks for that if I need to go anywhere I will swop round I may just pull it off drive and take the wheel in other car

Hi folks I managed to pick up a puncture today so on goes the spare it is the same make but has 3 mm less tread 9 mm as opposed to 12mm and is on the back is it safe to run like this in your opinion till I get it fixed tomorrow cheers Trev

mine has done this on and off for the 3 years i;ve owned it , as i dont hold it at these revs very often i just drive it and dont worry , lets face it if we worried about all the things that could go wrong with a hippo then you would;nt dare drive it , mines certainly got no worse in this time...
