What did you do with your Range Rover today

Whenever I do the oil on my td6 I always use sump plug, just put suspension in off road, have got a extraction pump but pipe isn’t quite long enough to go from floor up to engine then down the dip tube, may be worth doing a couple of oil changes within 1000 miles of each other, give it a bit of...

L322 Question about jacking - Need to remove driver rear wheel

Steel on mine judging by the rust that builds up on them.

L322 Question about jacking - Need to remove driver rear wheel

When jacking iv not bothered altering rude height but do press the inhibit button on suspension this keeps it as is, if you try and jack it it will start to try and self level, keeping door open is a secondary system so if your say under car and door is open it prevents suspension moving about...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Gave mine a wash inside and out from picking up load of building materials other day, then took it to help a mate jump his E class, wouldn’t have it, battery wash shot so went and got him another then found out he had tried and tried and buggered the starter so new one needed. He’s only had the...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Took family down to imperial war museum Duxford, Range rovers really are great cruisers, took nice and steady managed, showed 34.4mpg, worked out it’s done 33.2 so quite accurate not bad for a old td6. Definitely worth the 3 1/2 hour drive down too. Great place to spend a day.

    L322 Odd 'alarm' sound

I’m sure all the electrics in the electrical box under bonnet just unclip and slide out then you can access the little fan in the bottom of the box. Can’t be certain though as it’s from what iv seen not had a look into mine yet.

    L322 New tyres

Ah right, I got 19s but on two minds to go back to 18s as some say there more comfortable others say 19s are as comfortable etc, I did read somewhere that some run 255/65/18 without problems and they help fill the arches but don’t rub would be nice to have a bigger tyre, seem more resistant to...

    L322 Payload

Not like navaras then, seen plenty snapped/ bent where cab meets tub. True, will see how it looks loaded up it’s not far to do two trips if needed.

    L322 New tyres

Which wheels are you running? One of the older styles? As in your pic? I have a set of 18” five spoke from when I got them but they have 255/55/18 on wrong size often thought of going to a slightly more profile like a 65 as some say it brings the Speedo to bang on accurate and more comfort.

    L322 Payload

May be in with a chance, by that time in the week fuel will be running down to about 1/4 tank and car will be empty. Seems a low payload when most pick ups carry about a ton, Ok different vehicle but looking as how there built a l322 is more substantial than a l200 or navara (not heard of any...

    L322 Payload

Hi guys just a quick question, does anyone know the payload of a l322 Td6? Iv a load of sand and cement and blocks to collect next week for a new wall and looks to come in at around 400kg, looking in manual at gross weight and kerb weight looks to be about 650 kg payload. Can anyone confirm what...

    L322 Low mid range power

Have you followed the vacuum hoses round, make sure no spits or any come loose? Any black smoke when you floor it? A bit is ok but a lot would suggest intercooler hose, egr blanked off or like in my case just disabled (vacuum line off and plugged with bolt) so permanently shut until I can get a...

    L322 New tyres

What size did you get? “Hit on the wallet” has been everything at moment here, new cooker, new fridge, new boiler. Money comes in then out again at moment.

    L322 New tyres

Was looking at Davantis and Toyo proxys as they get decent reviews and just over £120 a tyre. Main thing is that the transmission can take a different tread front to back, as far as I know being like an open diff it should be, normally I’d stick 4 tyres on but not right now.

    L322 New tyres

Hi everyone just quick question, Rangie needs 4 new tyres, are they ok just having rears replaced then bit later fronts? Normally I’d do all 4 but that’s a big expense right this moment, as I understand the transfer box as like limited slip, Torsten type, (bmw era l322) so different tread depth...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Gave mine a wash, first one in 4 weeks, been using Carplan no1 super gloss spray sealant, about £8-10 from b&m and most supermarkets, spray on wipe off works really well, dirt just washes off. Then decided to paint rear exhaust back box as that made the back end look untidy.

Can’t help with preload etc but have a look at Mikes videos on YouTube, Brittanica restorations, he’s done a few axles and one was definitely a Salisbury.
