Freelander 1 Does anyone have a Mantec Freelander Sump Guard?

£30 worth of scrap ally will protect far mor than the mantec one....goes beyond ARB etc....Odd cut outs and slightly different shape to drawing as thats the metal I had Sorry about quality of drawings but the best I have Also does not lose ground clearance like Mantec

    Freelander reliability .....

FFS were all agreeing with MHM today...that makes a change... If you really are after an unbiased opinion then you have landed in wrong place...no fookin chance on here.... Having owned many and varied 4x4s including most of the LR marques I decided to buy another... Like a **** I didnt...

    P0521 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit Range/Performance

Dont know about td4 but on V6 the coolant pipe runs through engine oil cooler and onto transmission oil cooler.....if one is blocked then it could affect both engine oil temp causing pressure pressure drop and raised transmission temperatures causing problems there...???? Worth a look and fairly...

    Advice on freelander steel wheels

Freelander stud pattern 5 x 114.3 is rare and although a couple of smaller road cars use patfern FL is only 4x4 (plenty of aftermarket available for FL in 17" & 18" but unsuitable for off road use) Many other manufacturers using 5 x 114mm as standard and i have found that if you are carfull...

A little lift for the Freelander

you will probably fook the drivetrain with strut lift and suspension but you can go up to 215/80/15 or 25/80/16 with either with no probs

    Advice on freelander steel wheels

The diamond back is an excellent tyre but a bit of overkill if you ask me very noisey and when tread is included has profile more like 215/90/15...I have used them on my V6 and they will initially rub rear of front wheel arches when on 3/4 lock(soon sorts itself by wearing a couple of mm off...

Snorkel good for dust with FL...but FL will float before it becomes needed for water.... If your in so deep that you need snorkel then fairly good chance all electrics will be fooked and engine will be last of worries

    Wading in a Freelander

extend rear diff breather up behind rear side panel & auto box up behind fuse box....cheap bit of pipe will do both and put a simple filter (fueltype) in top of both to stop crap getting in
