    suffolk laning?

Hi Ben, Normally Discos and Defenders - the AT tyres will help but there's usually nothing that bad - not been down to the north Essex lanes so can't be sure. The only one I know will be a problem is Violets lane which is ok for diesels but my 3.9 EFI doesn't like swimming so I won't be doing...

    Salisbury Plain restrictions

Apparently some guy on Facebook doesn't think that the posts on the Treadlightly and GLASS websites are official enough for him and doesn't think that voluntary restraint is the way to go.....some people eh?

    V8 LPG or TD5 Discovery

Disco 2 V8 - 4.5K repairs in 18 months then found out it had a block liner issue. Sold for spares and repairs - got the money back that I spent on repairs and lost the then 14k cost of purchase..... ......a lot of Disco 2 also suffer from terminal chassis rot....Avoid like the plague......

    Help me!!! Help me!!!

I had a Disco 2 V8 - complete nightmare. £4.5 k in repairs in 18 months then found out there was a liner problem. Earlier V8's in Disco 1's and Range Rover Classics more reliable but thirsty. Disco 2 also suffers from terminal chassis rot if you have one old enough.....

    dunstable laning

Hi Viper, Not from your part of the world but recently when laning in Thetford with some people from the St Neots area. They mentioned that a lot of the lanes in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire are closed in winter (April -> October). Checking the TrailWise database tonight I can confirm that...

    Bobtail rangerover!!

Hi Ozzie, I've got a 4 door but I didn't do it. Most people take about 15" out. You need to take it out of the side panels so that you still have the end of the panels that attach to the "goalpost" at the rear. CHeck out the workshop projects at Devon 4x4 - they did a 2 door but the principal...

Green Lanes or Off Road areas in East Sussex

Use ViewRanger on the iPad - the 1:50K map prices aren't too expensive. Not having the rights maps and going off-piste is a big no no so - if you do you can loose your vehicle (same as no tax or insurance...) so the maps are a small price to pay for piece of mind.....

    suffolk laning?

Kev, Looking at some of their pictures in Facebook it looks they MAY have been off-piste, but can't be sure.... I'm just very nervous of getting involved with "non-offical" clubs as there's no accountability there.....they also seem to have a habit of getting stuck..... I don't want to jump...
