There must be something wrong with it. I would start by getting it on diagnostics and seeing if anything looks off. If you put your location in your profile there may be someone near who can take a look at it. No doubt someone more knowledgeable will come along and give you an answer soon though.

When my P38 is stopped idling the front suspension is constantly adjusting and not just sitting level. It rises up (which causes the compressor to come on) then stops and about 5 seconds later it goes back down again. Then another 5 seconds later it will go back up causing the compressor to be...

Sounds like the sprag clutch has failed to me. Which will result in having to manually put it in 1 to start as you said.

Only the diesels need the baffle I think because it has both hoses at the top.

I think it's a bit of an overreaction that HIDs will kill someone. When people drive towards me with main beam on I simply don't look at them directly and I find I can see just fine. I've also never been bothered by HIDs that are badly aimed in other cars.

I assume you're no longer on air suspension then since your MOT tester said you can't keep the HID lights on? You should be able to have them on and pass an MOT test if you still have the air suspension.

I'll also mention if you buy a new pressure cap, buy genuine. I've bought 2 britpart ones and 1 bearmach one and they've both snapped upon removal. Meanwhile my original cap has never managed to snap. I should have learned the first time... :p

You're right and I'm wrong. It does have a second bulb for the main beam (referred to in RAVE as the inboard main beam) can't find out 100% which it is though.
