Could be all sorts of things in that case like a sensor not working when cold, needs diagnostics. Having said that, they are limited when cold.Hi Gents
Many thanks for the replies.
Saint, all that is ok, it's just really when it first starts in the morning when it's cold, other wise it runs ok.
Steve did put it on his diagnostic to sort an unrelated problem and he cast his eye over the general stats and didn't flag anything, but the car was warm at the time.

If it revs with no speed increase, I'd be looking at the auto box oil, should be changed along with the filter every 24K miles.Ah..... I see
Which sensor might that be Keith, I did buy a water temperature sensor during the refurb but didn't fit it.......
It's for about 2 miles or so, is that what you mean by "limited" it kinda revs but no real speed increase
It's just come back from a specialist (radius arm bushes) who used it to commute and he didn't comment on it, so perhaps it's normal but doesn't seem right to me.
Thanks Keith

Funnily enough this morning it was ok........ so maybe i am overstating
Now I've just discovered rear offside brake is binding!!
Does it ever end!! (rhetorical question)
