Have you checked the engine stop / pull thingy is not stuck / siezed in the stop position?

I bought what I thought would be a quick fixer upper, it then turned into a total strip down and having neatly stacked piles of metal in my garage. I have pretty much finished welding the chassis, replacing door pillars and foot wells. Just need to paint chassis and bulkhead, drop the engine...

That is great / mad- I'd have to get a few grommets for various holes in the bulkhead first. :p

I'm quite some way from having mine on the road but once do I would like to do some laning. I currently have a soft top- would that be a no no?

Could be a bad earth- clean it up and see if it improves

It wouldn't stop them nicking it, but at least you would be abe to find it 1 mile down the road(I assume there would still be some fuel that would allow it to start and run for a short while)

I have come to the conclusion that I will have to replace my door pillars. With the standard replacement pillars do they end up being the external metal finish that can be painted, or are they installed behind a metal skin? Thanks Steve

I have picked up various peices for my project and they are covered in paint. I want to strip them back to the orriginal galvanised finish- would the likes of Nitromoors do this ok? I don't know if it would take the galvanised finish of as well?
