My new toy! 1969 2.8TD (Isuzu)

I cant imagine that winch has the pulling capacity for a land rover it looks a bit small and underpowered.

Gap between gearbox and cover plate

Its only a cover plate. Its there to stop gravel and stones going into the flywheel. Just put the two bolts back in.

    Handbrake lever issue

whats happened is when you have removed it. The toothed part that moves with the button has been pulled all the way up and flipped over. Remove the cable pin so you can lift the handbrake vertically and then flip it back with a screwdriver and lower the handbrake back down. Sorry if that...

    Overweight Series 2a?

None of the other details apart from the vin number are needed for the Mot. I have taken cars land rovers etc that have been off of the road for 15 years plus and all they do is look at the vin number and type it into their system. I dont know why he's pestering you for other details as its no...

    Overweight Series 2a?

you dont need a v5 for an mot. They just put the chassis number off of the vin plate into the computer. Your Mot tester has it wrong

Would you tow up to your vehicle limit

Do you think you have been to lots of accidents because they keep slowing down :D If you speed up it pulls the trailer straight so it cancels the snake. Slowing down causes it to put more pressure pushing against the back of the tow vehicle making it more likely to push the back to one...

Would you tow up to your vehicle limit

Would you tow up to your vehicle limit

Just want to add my two cents. I use my discovery and previously my series 3's constantly to tow. Ive had other land rovers and 4x4's and once a super heavy mercedes s-class on a trailer behind mine and they tow no problem. Ive also towed a couple of sankey trailers connected together with...

    engine hoist/crane

I have an Sip 1 ton crane. It easily lifts high enough but personally i wouldnt go with them again. Its the same as the sealy crane pretty much so i would avoid that as well. The quality of the product just isnt the same as a more expensive brand
