I have just finished rebuilding my 1964 Series 2a 109 and have booked it in for an MOT. The tester told me I need to have the V5 as it may not be on the system as the vehicle has been off the road for years.
I have found the V5 but notice the revenue weight is 3499kg. I thought that this was a bit much and looked it up and discovered that this would also mean a different class of MOT.
The MOT tester has tested the vehicle before but it was about six years ago and I dont know if the rules have changed since then.
It looks like I need to have this information changed but am not sure if the DVLA will accept my word for it, as anyone could then change their vehicle weights. If I need proof what could I provide the DVLA with?
Thanks For Your Help!
