    Which winch

If only- most people were bone idle! And of course they'd be in the way holding everyone else up!

    Which winch

I had a winch on my Puma. I used to spend my life during pay and play days pulling idiots out of the way, who often didn't want to get their feet wet!

Stuck in the mud Dunnet Head Scotland

Exactly that, they put a party in need and willing help in touch. LZ is not press hanging anyone into doing anything. If I was stuck and asked on a WhatsApp group for help would whatsapp be held accountable?

Stuck in the mud Dunnet Head Scotland

I quite agree. If we cast our minds back to the Wales one at Christmas, my brother and I were going to embark on a 8 hour round trip because we had nothing better to do. When I'd got there, I would have conducted an assessment and decided whether I could have helped. More than likely we would...

    Leaking rear side windows! Grrr!

If you are going to lose the windows, go online and buy some stainless sheet. Metals 4 U will cut it to your dimensions. My brother did it- cheap as chips- then one tube of silicone and some rivets and you are away!

    Machete for Greenlaning

Gerber do a decent machete. They also do a decent Kukri. Failing that an issue Army Machete is good value for money and holds its edge well.

    Wiltshire green lanes

Theres no reason why we couldn't set up a navigation challenge around the plain. 20 or so miles of decent on and off road driving. The main focus of the weekend would be camping and meeting like minded people. And then set off small groups at staggered intervals for the lanes.

    Wiltshire green lanes

How many people would be keen for a Wiltshire gathering? There are pubs with real estate that would no doubt accommodate us, and byways galore from Warminster to Tidworth- I'm thinking the George at Longbridge Deveril. We need to go firm on a date and then everyone would pull towards it. If...

I figured that because of the lack of notice I'm have more chance of someone seeing it in the recent activity section- irregardless of what section it's posted in, than for someone trawling through the forum on the off chance! It was actually an old post that I edited and changed the title...

    stuck

I agree entirely with your assessment. My brother and I offered help but again mainly because we wanted to see it for ourselves. In my job I am required to own a lot of risk and would have terminated as soon as I had seen the conditions. LZIR works brilliantly but the forum cannot be held...
